With a replicable model for sustainable change, Open Door America is expanding operations to seven additional cities. In partnership with national construction leader Component Assembly Systems and their associated contractors and suppliers, ODA is positioned to bring economic empowerment through “living wage” jobs to some of America’s most marginalized workers in Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and New Orleans. A sixth location -- Columbia, Maryland -- will serve as the partnership’s first suburban location. A seventh site in Sarasota, Florida is seeking regional employment partners in construction and other industries modeled on the success of the Baltimore operation.
